Catamaran Sailing day with Kite-downwinder and snorkeling – a perfect day
Yesterday guests at Hooked hat a perfect day on a nice sailing catamaran. We started here at 8.30 to go to the boat, which was in a perfectly blue bay close to Puerto Plata. After some sailing alongside the coast, stopped for a snorkelling and swimming in front of coco-beach. In the cristal blue and warm water were some nice corals to see. After a lunch on board the kiters started getting nervous about the wind. Finally at 3pm the wind picked up and the downwinder could start. The kites were launched at a small beach nearby, the rescue boat was ready and so were the six kiters. For almost two hours the passengers on board could admire the kiters behind the boat, doing tricks and jumps and kiting close to the boat to be taken on pictures.
When the sunset started, everybody came back to the boat after kiting, a swim or another snorkelling and had a cool beer. We sailed the last piece of the way down to Luberon, where the bus was waiting to pick us up again.
Just a wonderful, sunny, windy and relaxed day in paradise…
