Hooked Cabarete is all about Surf and Relax. Our small scaled accommodation on the prime wavespot of the Dominican Republic is a special place for a lot of people who stayed with us in the past years. Surfers, Kitesurfers, but also people who just love our quiet place or look for an active and relaxed holiday, come to our little paradise.

A note from the owners.
The owners Ybo and Chantal first visited the Dominican Republic in 2004. immediately they fell in love with the country and it’s people. Because of the amazing conditions for watersports, a perfect place for a new adventure.

Building Hooked was not an easy task but in 2005 Ybo and Chantal completed their little getaway. Since July 2005 Hooked Cabarete hosted many quests from all over the globe and lots of them returned for the 2dn and some even already for the 5th time. Florian is the manager of Hooked Cabarete and a surf and kitesurf freak all the way. He can guide you to the mainsurfspots along the North Coast and is always there to advise you where to go and what to do. In the past years we discovered that giving that little more personal attention to our guests, makes the holiday for a lot of people.

Secluded and Social

In Hooked you easily meet other travelers. So also if you are traveling alone Hooked is the perfect getaway. Each apartment has its  own private terrace with seating area and optional hammock, so if you need privacy you will find that as well. Unlike in other so called “surfcamps” we don’t force our guests to be social. It’s all up to you. You are looking for privacy? You will find it. Want to hook up with others? No problem, there are always people to talk to around the pool or quests go out with each other to partytown Cabarete. It’s all your choice...

Cabarete an amazing place
We won’t bore you with packages including food. In Cabarete are tons of great restaurants where you can pick up a meal for 3 dollars. Off course there are places for food in all price ranges. From the local Dominican restaurants until fancy clubs with loungie atmosphere. It’s really worth to try the different places Cabarete has to offer and taste the Dominican Republic.
And there is always the possibility to prepare your own meal by using your own kitchen in your apartment. Often quests organize BBQ evenings at Hooked. We have a BBQ in the garden that you are free to use. Hooked Cabarete organizes on regular base dinners to local and special places. Ask us to find out about the good places to go to in Cabarete.
